Lost Ox is heading back down to Corvallis to play at the esteemed Bombs Away Cafe, and we'll be joined by local yokels Alder Street, who'll bring the happenin' snappenin' banjo-flappin' bluegrass.

Formed in early 2017, and quickly gaining traction around their native Portland, OR, Lost Ox is part rapidfire rambling lyrics, part whiskey blues soul grass, two parts neo-funk groove; all with an extra helping of electro-psychedelic heat.
The prog-blues-folk quartet bring their own brand of inventive playfulness to performances; weaving dark, murderous yarns in the same stride as delightfully groovy jive numbers, saturated richly with improvisation and interplay.

Alder Street is boot-stompin’, gritty, and bourbon flavored. The band draws its inspiration from a variety of sources, evinced by original tunes that break the mold of traditional bluegrass, and reprises ranging from Iron Maiden to Bill Monroe. The band first formed for a benefit show from a hodgepodge of musicians living in Eugene’s infamous Campbell Club Cooperative on Alder Street.Over the years Alder Street blossomed in Eugene's infamous local music scene. Alder Street's latest album, Americannibal, was relased in May 2014 at Seattle Folklife. It has been described as "a tight, polished study on the frontiers of contemporary bluegrass" - Eugene Weekly
